Darwin International Laksa Festival

Get ready for a month-long celebration of Darwin's love affair with laksa!

The Darwin International Laksa Festival invites locals and food lovers to explore the Top End's vibrant food scene through the Laksa Food Tour. Discover participating restaurants, cafés and eateries across the Northern Territory serving up their take on the beloved dish, alongside creative laksa-inspired dishes - from Laksa ice creams to pastries.

Join the Laksa League, check in at participating venues, sample your way around Darwin, vote for your favourite dishes and earn points for the chance to win fantastic prizes.

The festival culminates in the Grand Finale on Saturday 31 October 2026 on the Darwin Waterfront Lawns. Join us in the afternoon for live cooking demonstrations, storytelling sessions, hawker-style night markets, challenges, food trucks, prizes and the crowning of the prestigious People's Choice and Golden Bowl awards.
