The Top End is an inclusive community, and believes visitors of all abilities should have access and opportunities to experience Darwin and the Top End with ease and enjoyment.

There are a variety of tours and attractions tailored to different access needs including hearing and vision loss, wheelchair access and high support requirements.

Centrally located, the Top End Visitor Information Centre provides visitors with free personalised visitor services and comprehensive selections of brochures, booklets, maps and timetables and is best-placed to advise on what tour operators are best placed to accommodate. Our team of passionate and dedicated individuals are committed to providing excellence in customer service to all visitors.

The centre is designed with wheelchair ramps and wide doorways to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges, providing easy access throughout the building. Inside, comfortable couches are strategically placed to suit any person.

Tourism Top End has created a comprehensive guide of inclusive information about traveling to Darwin and what services to expect or request during your visit. We have designed the guide with the end user in mind and hope we can help make your stay in Darwin and the Top End more enjoyable. You can download the guide here.

The City of Darwin provides a City of Darwin Accessibility Map to assist individuals with their accessibility needs while out and about. This map highlights designated areas where people can safely recharge the batteries of their electric mobility scooters or wheelchairs free of charge, as well as accessible swimming pools, accessible parking and toilets.
