Darwin and surrounds boasts a thriving market scene throughout the year, a hugely popular attraction for locals and visitors.

Mindil Beach Sunset Markets
May to October - Thursdays from 5pm to 10pm and Sundays from 4pm to 9pm.
Market patrons can enjoy the tastes of five continents, over 50 different food stalls, more than 1200 different menu items, browse through handmade craft including crocodile products, indigenous art and handcrafted jewellery. Settle down on the grass area with the locals and soak up the ambiant music and the tropical atmosphere as the sun sets over Mindil Beach.

Palmerston Markets
May to October – Fridays from 5pm to 9pm
Every Friday evening the markets provide live entertainment, ranging from multicultural dancers, country and western bands, mainstream bands and a DJ who entertains the kids with their favourite music. Over 200 stalls selling everything from hot and cold food, drinks, desserts, fresh fruit and vegetables, art, handicrafts, novelty items, jewellery, plants and body massages. The relaxed atmosphere of the Palmerston and Rural Markets ensures an enjoyable evening for the whole family.

Berry Springs Community Market
Last Sunday of every month from 8am to 12pm March to October
Join the locals for breakfast or maybe grab an early lunch. The Berry Springs Market has stalls ranging from fresh locally grown produce , to arts and crafts, plants, second hand goods, and local handmade market products.

Fred's Pass Rural Markets
Saturdays from 8am to 1pm year round
Take a leisurely drive 28 kilometres out of Darwin on the Stuart Highway to Fred’s Pass Reserve and check out the varied selection of market stalls offering fresh produce, food stalls and local craft items.

Nightcliff Market
Sundays from 8am to 2pm year round
Set in the attractive Nightcliff Shopping Village, the markets are the ideal place for a lazy Sunday coffee or a refreshing tropical fruit salad. A wander around Nightcliff Markets will likely unearth a bargain or a unique gift with stalls displaying a wide variety of crafts, plants and recyclable goods. There is massage, reflexology and card-reading and plenty of shade and space to sit and enjoy entertainment from local artists performing on the central stage.

Parap Village Markets
Saturdays from 8am to 2pm year round
A favourite place to shop among locals and visitors alike. Browse through stalls of local produce, arts and crafts, and enjoy entertainment and delicious cuisine from around the world.  This Saturday morning market has become an institution and ritual among locals who just couldn’t survive a weekend without their Saturday morning laksa, satay prawns or fresh tropical smoothie.

Rapid Creek Markets
Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 2pm year round
Darwin’s oldest  market is situated only 20 minutes from the city in the Rapid Creek Business Village. Come on down for a massage, followed with a relaxing Sunday brunch, before browsing the stalls for fresh organic produce, Asian fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices, exotic plants, flowers and fresh seafood.
