Aboriginal icon Briggs returns to the Top End with his latest project, Big Noter.
Trading hip-hop beats for guitar riffs, Big Noter taps into Briggs' hard-core, punk and metal roots with a full live band in tow, delivering a raw and uncompromising sound that feels both familiar and fresh. Fierce, loud and unapologetic, Big Noter is a return to the heavy music that first lit the fuse, with Briggs bringing his trademark presence, power and perspective to the stage.
A proud Yorta-Yorta/Wurundjeri/Wemba-Wemba man from country Victoria, Briggs has spent the past 15 years touring extensively across Australia and Europe, headlining shows, playing major festivals and supporting legendary artists such as Body Count, Ice Cube, MF DOOM, Ghostface Killah and Pharoahe Monch. Now he turns his attention to the heavy sounds he grew up on.
