The Northern Territory Games Festival is Darwin's dedicated celebration of Territory-made video games and live esports, delivered by The Array, a Darwin-based not-for-profit creative technology centre.
Held in the heart of the Darwin city centre, the Festival brings the Northern Territory's growing games industry out from behind the screen and into public view. Visitors can play games created by Territory studios whose work has reached hundreds of thousands of players worldwide, meet the developers behind them, and discover an industry that now surpasses film and music globally.
The main stage hosts live esports competition, with professional presentation, commentary and broadcast production connecting Darwin audiences to national and Southeast Asian gaming communities. Interstate competitors and industry guests join local players for a full day of matches, exhibitions and hands-on gaming experiences.
Families are welcome, with interactive play areas, high-performance gaming setups and virtual reality experiences suitable for all ages and skill levels. Whether visitors are seasoned competitors, curious newcomers or parents introducing children to creative digital careers, every element of the program serves the same shared passion.
Building on The Array's proven track record of staging interactive entertainment events in Darwin, the NT Games Showcase positions the Northern Territory as an active and credible contributor to Australia's interactive entertainment landscape. Tickets are limited, so visitors should book early.
