Mataranka & Roper River

Mataranka is known as the ‘Capital of the Never Never’ because of the historic book ‘We of the Never Never.’ It is the gateway to Elsey National Park with the spectacular Bitter Springs, Mataranka Thermal Pool, and the Roper River.
